Kindess and goodness, alive and well

Nearly one million litres of water were donated by our amazing public to assist the tens of thousands of people.

OUR news is full of negativity. Reports of corruption in our government, rising food costs, poor leadership and a failing economy dominate the media presently. Even Facebook is becoming a depressing place to be, with posts of mistreated animals, jokes about our ineffective president and a general undertone of hopelessness. –
It was such a contrast and very heart-warming and refreshing to see the commitment and generosity from the members of the local communities as they came out in force to support East Coasts Radio’s #Watershare project.

Nearly one million litres of water were donated by our amazing public to assist the tens of thousands of people who are suffering through one of the country’s worst droughts to date. People came from throughout the province to deliver the much-needed water and before long, East Coast Radio was wall-to-wall full of water. It seems that kindness and goodness are alive and well in the hearts of the people and my faith in humanity has been restored.
