Police search for Queen Nandi killers

Police say the man was shot in the head by two men who reportedly fled the scene in a silver VW Polo.

POLICE are on the hunt for two suspects believed to be involved in the murder of a man on Queen Nandi Drive early this morning.

Reports from witnesses at the scene suggest that the victim was gunned down by two men who fled the scene in a silver VW Polo, said W/O Leon Audh of the Greenwood Park SAPS.

“The vehicle had NU number plates and was dented in the front. Members are on a manhunt for the suspects and arrests are imminent,” he said.

Audh said the 40-year-old victim died before police arrived at the scene. “Upon arrival, members found the deceased on the side of the road with a gunshot wound to the head,” he said.

Police have appealed to members of the public who could assist with the investigation to contact W/O Moodley on 083 799 6999.

The motive behind the shooting is still unknown.
