uMgeni Park resident shot in attempted robbery

The suspects were reportedly armed with 9mm pistols.

AN uMgeni Park resident has been critically wounded after an attempted robbery on Hillbow Road. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the man suffered a fractured femur.

“Armed men tried to rob the house next door and were startled by the neighbour who came out to investigate the commotion. The men armed with 9mm pistols opened fire on him, hitting him in the leg. He suffered a fractured femur. The suspects drove off in an unknown vehicle,” he said.

There have been no arrests as yet.
