Gallery: Durban floods ravage the city

Spectacular pictures of the weekend's heavy rains floods Facebook.

LOCAL residents felt the full brunt of heavy rains that battered the East Coast over the weekend. In Durban North a tree collapsed on Welwitschia Avenue, while several manholes were pushed out of place.

In Sea Cow Lake, a four-year-old boy was rescued from a collapsed building due to a mudslide. There were several accidents along the M4, which in some parts was covered in water.

At least six people were killed in separate incidents due to the heavy rains.
