Taxi overturns in Glenhills, bursts into flames

The road was closed while firefighters put out the blaze.

PASSENGERS of a taxi that overturned on Harrison Drive early on Wednesday morning were lucky to escape unharmed after the vehicle burst into flames. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the incident occurred near the Poinsettia Road intersection.

“We had to close off the road while the fire department put out the blaze. It’s unclear what led to the taxi overturning but the driver and passengers escaped unharmed. Thankfully no one was injured. The fire was put out speedily by firefighters,” he said.
