Riverside Hockey gears up for Elite Challenge

This is the only tournament in the history of South African hockey to offer the largest prize money to the winning team.

THE fourth annual Greenfields Elite Club Hockey Challenge will take place from the Friday, 15 and Saturday, 16 July at Riverside Sports in Durban North.

South Africa’s top club hockey teams, including national and provincial players from KZN, Gauteng and Western Province, will battle it out for the largest prize money offered at a hockey tournament in South Africa.

KZN will be represented by Kearsney and Riverside Hockey Club. The two clubs will be competing against other clubs for a grand prize of R26 000, which is the prize money that will be given to the winning team at the end of the tournament. This is the only tournament in the history of South African hockey to offer the largest prize money to the winning team.

The event is the only national, non-tertiary, inter-club hockey tournament on the SA hockey circuit – promises exceptional hockey displays and a fun weekend outdoors with good music, food and entertainment.
