Cameron wins silver in Rio

This is van der Burgh's second Olympic medal.

SOUTH Africa bagged bagged its first medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic games after Cameron van der Burgh, the defending Olympic champion, took silver in the men’s 100m breaststroke on Sunday.

Van der Burgh, the defending Olympic champion, finished behind Britain’s Adam Peaty in 58.69 who won gold and American Cody Miller the bronze in 58.87. Peaty, touched the wall in a time of 57.13 seconds.

This his second Olympic medal after he set a world record at the 2012 Summer Olympics where he won the gold medal at the 100m breaststroke in London.
