One of the victims was repeatedly hit and pushed around in the incident on Lighthouse Road.

A COUPLE were hijacked by four armed men on Lighthouse Road in uMhlanga last night.  According to Kyle van Reenen of Marshall Security, one of the victims was injured in the incident. The incident occurred at about 8pm on Sunday night.

“They had parked their car near a service station when they noticed two men on the corner of Lagoon Drive. The men approached them and produced firearms. They demanded the keys and the men repeatedly hit the woman in the hijacking attempt. The men drove off with the couple’s vehicle, a Honda Civic,” he said.

This is the fourth hijacking in recent weeks in the North Durban area.
