Thieves strike at uMhlanga show home

The criminal gang is made up of three women and a male accomplice.

Thieves posing as house hunters have struck again. This time on Oyster Crescent in uMhlanga where they targeted a house that was on show. According to Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS, the thieves made off with several items.

“Since August, we’ve had seven cases in various areas including La Lucia and Durban North. They aren’t just targeting show houses but they are looking for homes that have ‘For Sale’ signs outside them. They then tell domestic workers they are there to view the homes.

“In this case, they viewed the house on show and stole jewellery, cell phones and a laptop. The criminal gang is made up of three women and a male accomplice. Unfortunately no arrests have been made as yet,” he said.
