Mixed reaction to Miss SA’s ‘sunrise’ dress
Social media's 'fashion police' rain on Miss SA's parade.
THE local ‘fashion police’ have issued their verdict on the dress that Miss SA, Ntando Kunene, will be wearing to the Miss World pageant and they are not having it. Kunene’s dress was designed by JJ Shoemann, who has been commissioned to design the seven garments that Miss SA will be wearing at the prestigious pageant.
Schoemann said his inspiration for the orange and yellow dress came from the rising sun of Mpumalanga where Kunene was born. However, the ‘fashion police’ are convinced that the dress isn’t African enough.
