Construction worker nabbed for La Lucia theft

The worker attempted to flee when officers arrived and a foot chase ensued.

A CONSTRUCTION worker has been arrested after stealing from a home he is currently working on in La Lucia earlier today. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the house is under construction.

“The premises is currently under construction and one of the construction workers was alleged to have been stealing bathroom fitting supplies from the property. When armed reaction officers arrived the worker attempted to flee and a foot chase ensued resulting in the worker being caught in the act of attempting to throw the stolen property out a window of the home. The suspect was arrested on site and handed over to the SAPS for further investigation and processing,” he said.
