Homeowner confirms Durban North skeleton was a prop

Relieved homeowner talks to the Northglen News about the skeleton discovery.

THE skeleton uncovered by workers at a Durban North home on Friday morning was nothing more than a prop. The homeowner of the Beachway residence, spoke to the Northglen News confirming that the state pathologist had identified the skeleton as a prop.

“We initially speculated it may have been a prop because it had all these wires and metal rods running through the skeleton. We even found a rack which we presume the skeleton hung on in our garage. The police feel it may have been part of a prank or part of a ritual involving ancestors.

“The remains were taken to a mortuary for autopsy. The pathologist confirmed it wasn’t a real human skeleton but rather a prop. We were pretty relieved I have to say, my wife would’ve made me sell the house if it wasn’t,” he said.
