Durban North resident robbed by armed men

The suspects were armed with a firearm and a knife.

  • A DURBAN North man was lucky to escape unharmed on Saturday night after he was accosted by two armed men wearing balaclavas. The men allegedly followed the man into their yard as he was turning into his driveway in Burleigh Crescent.

Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson said a resident had just arrived home after a day out with his family.

“The balaclava-clad men followed his vehicle on foot onto their property in Burleigh Crescent. The suspects who were armed with a firearm and a knife, demanded their valuables and fled on foot with cash, a wallet, cellphones and jewellery. No injuries were reported,” he said.

Durban North SAPS attended the scene of the crime.
