“This is a great opportunity for our community to engage with the more vulnerable citizens among us; by sharing your time, ameal, and some music with the homeless,” said I Care marketing manager, Gail Elson.

The evening will start at 6pm and end at around 10.30pm with the option of sleeping over. Gates open at 5pm for registration.

The public has been urged to raise R1 000, by getting their friends to sponsor them (R100 of which will be used as an admission fee); the money raised will go towards I Care and the Denis Hurley Centre, to continue their important work with Durban’s homeless.

Dinner will be provided and there will be live music performances, including John Ellis, Michael Wagner and others.
