Man arrested after uMhlanga stabbing

The suspect attempted to hide at a construction site in the area when he was found by security officers.

A MAN has been arrested after allegedly stabbing his co-worker in uMhlanga on Thursday morning. According to Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS, the attacker was arrested by Enforce Security officers.

“The man was walking with the suspect, allegedly his coworker, when a confrontation broke out leading to the stabbing. The victim was stabbed more than once and managed to run for help and collapsed near one of the buildings in the area. Enforce Security officers came to his assistance and called for an ambulance. They then searched for the man involved in the stabbing who was found hiding in one of the construction sites in the area. He was handed over to our police officers and remains in police custody,” he said.

A case of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm has been opened.
