Rosehill woman sexually assaulted by armed man

Police are still looking for the man involved in the assault.

POLICE and Marshall Security are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman in Rosehill. The incident unfolded on Rosehill Avenue early on Friday morning confirmed Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen. The victim, who was walking home, was confronted by a knife-wielding man who grabbed her on the footpath.

“She was confronted by a naked man, who was armed with a knife. He demanded that she played with his genitals. He threatened to stab the woman and asked her to kiss him. As he pulled her hand closer to his private parts, she managed to pull away from him and scream for help. The suspect ran into the bushes along the path. We searched for the man but were unable to find him,” he said.

The victim was uninjured in the assault but was traumatised said Van Reenen.
