Armed men rob Durban North business

The three suspects were seen fleeing in a getaway vehicle traveling towards the CBD.

DURBAN North police are searching for three suspects who were involved in an armed robbery of an eatery on Kenneth Kaunda Road (Northway) on Saturday evening.

The suspects had allegedly entered the store posing as customers before robbing staff and customers.

According to Kyle van Reenen of Marshall Security, the incident occurred at about 9:40pm.

“The suspects demanded cash, jewellery and cellphones from staff and customers. An undisclosed amount of cash was also taken from the tills before the suspects fled in a getaway vehicle in the direction of the Durban CBD. Thankfully no one was injured in the incident,” he said.

No arrests have yet been made.
