WATCH: eMdloti resident helps rescue 120kg Zambezi shark

The shark was found on the shore struggling to return to the sea.

AN eMdloti resident, Renier du Plessis helped to return a 120kg Zambezi shark to the sea on Saturday after the shark was spotted struggling on the shore in  shallow water. Du Plessis posted a video of the scene on social media.

In his post on Facebook, Du Plessis said: “I woke up to a huge commotion in front of my house. As I approached I saw two fishermen trying to return a 120kg Zambezi Shark to the sea. I jumped in to help. Today my legs are exhausted but I believe the shark is okay.”

He said the shark was returned to the sea at about 23.19pm.
