Man caught hiding in La Lucia home following break in

The incident occurred just before midnight on Tuesday.

A MAN found hiding in a La Lucia home after breaking in has been arrested. According to Kyle van Reenen, spokesman for Marshall Security, the incident occurred at around midnight on Tuesday night in Braemer Avenue. Van Reenen said they received a call for assistance for a housebreaking in progress.

“On the arrival on the scene, armed reaction officers were informed by street patrol guards, that a suspect had been seen entering a property via a rear window,”‘ he said.

“Armed reaction officers entered the property and conducted a search. A suspect was found hiding in the home. The man was arrested on-site and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing,” he added.
