Trio hope to make splash for CANSA

The local residents will be swimming the Midmar 8 Mile events in order to raise awareness and funds for CANSA Active.

FATHER and son, Lance and Douglas Fraser along with a family friend, James Kirtchner will take on next year’s aQuellé Midmar Mile for charity. The trio will be swimming the Midmar 8 Mile events on both days of the event in order to raise awareness and funds for CANSA Active.

“This year was my first year participating in the 8 Mile event and together with about 190 swimmers who took part raised an incredible R4 million. As part of our fundraising initiatives we have decided to host a fundraiser on Wednesday, 8 January 2020 at The Barnyard Theatre Suncoast for the show, Live at Vegas.

“The show started this month and runs until 12 January. We would love to get the north Durban community to support our efforts and purchase their tickets before Christmas. My aim is to complete ten 8 Mile events and do as much as I can to raise funds for CANSA,” he said.

Tickets cost R175 and the show begins at 7.30pm (doors open at 6pm). To RSVP contact Fraser on 082 855 6993 or you can email lancemidmar8mile@gmail.com.

You can also help the trio raise more by placing your food pre-order.
