Nicole to address service delivery in Ward 35

Bollman said she will maintain an open-door approach with residents.

“THE people of Ward 35 have spoken. I am so happy that the community has put their trust in me once again,” said the Democratic Alliance councillor, Nicole Bollman, who was elected to serve another term as the ward councillor.

Bollman added that the votes were ‘unanimous’ and it was evident that it’s the DA that residents have faith in. She ended with 83.82% of the votes in the ward.

“I will continue to update and communicate with residents on matters that affect them as I feel that providing updated and relevant information on issues that concern them is key,” she said.

Bollman said she has always maintained an open-door policy and, going forward, she plans to get to know the community better.
After she claimed the ward in August 2019, she had just started to familiarise herself with residents and then the Covid-19 pandemic hit.

“I was then managing people’s expectations as we couldn’t hold public meetings. Now that we’re in Level 1, I plan on being more interactive,” said Bollman.

She plans on addressing issues such as service delivery, safety and security and economic development and tourism in what is the most lucrative tourist node in eThekwini.

“This election, the people have shown that it’s the DA they want to run the country. I believe that the people did not only vote for their wards, but for their country too. I am extremely happy to see people understanding the power that their vote carries,” said Bollman.
