Protect conservation by supporting ‘Wings and Wine’ event

Indulge in delicious wine and tasty snacks while enjoying the company of fellow conservation enthusiasts.

THE Bateleurs has planned a fundraiser for this week which will aid the organisation in its conservational efforts to protect the environment.

The Wings and Wine event takes place at Virginia Airport on May 25 at 19:00.

The organisation was founded in 1998 and consists of 200 volunteer pilots and aircraft, providing beneficiaries and the public with an aerial perspective of the environment.

“The Bateleurs has been going for 25 years and aids in environmental efforts and missions all over South Africa and Africa. All proceeds from this event will go directly to supporting the organisation and its mission to preserve our natural world,” said Carla Geyser of The Bateleurs.

There are great prizes to be won, including a R5 000 cash prize for every ticket bought. Extra tickets will be available at the event.

“Six wine farms will be present at the event with their delicious wines to taste. There’ll also be divine snacks and great entertainment,” she said.

Tickets cost R220 per person and are available at Quicket.
