In a statement, Meyer said, “We are thrilled to open entries for the seventh annual Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10km. Although it has established itself as one of Durban’s most iconic mass-participation road runs that offers participants a unique way to explore the city on foot, the run has also become synonymous with world-class performances.”

He disclosed that the run will take place on July 7. Meyer says: “The flat and fast course is a major drawcard for elite runners, both local and international, while also providing social runners with an ideal setting to achieve personal best times.” The route highlights Durban’s iconic landmarks and offers engaging sponsor activations along the way, complemented by live entertainment from the city’s leading performing arts groups.”

He alludes that, with its vibrant race day atmosphere, refreshing sea breeze and breathtaking ocean views, the competition has firmly established itself as one of Durban’s and South Africa’s premier must-do events.
