One arrested in connection with theft of estate-agent signboards
Multiple real estate agencies across North Durban had reported thefts of their signboards.
A SUSPECT linked to the theft of real estate signboards was arrested on Thursday last week (September 19) on Kenneth Kaunda Road (Northway).
Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell said his company was alerted to the theft of real estate signboards by multiple real estate agencies across Durban North, Effingham and uMhlanga.

“The thefts led to an estimated collective loss of over R50 000 for the affected businesses. Following a month-long investigation, Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team (SOT) successfully apprehended the suspect in Durban North. The suspect was found in possession of numerous stolen signboards.
“Our team observed the suspect driving a blue Kia Picanto along Kenneth Kaunda Road and followed him. They noticed the vehicle’s boot was loaded with real estate signboards and steel frames. Acting swiftly, our officers stopped the vehicle and apprehended the suspect,” he said.
The suspect was handed over to the Durban North SAPS.
