Vehicle stolen from Avoca – recovered short while later

It was through the collaboration of various security agencies and SAPS that positive results were yielded with the vehicle being found.

IT was all hands on deck when a bakkie was reported stolen in Pommern Lane in the Avoca area on Friday afternoon (September 20).

The driver of the vehicle confirmed to Marshall Security’s armed response officers that a tracking device on the bakkie was active when they arrived at the scene.

“Shortly after, members of our special operations team were activated by Tracker SA to assist in locating the stolen vehicle. Without hesitation, our team joined forces with Tracker SA, KwaMashu SAPS Trio Crimes Unit and Phoenix SAPS Trio Crimes Unit to track down the vehicle,” said Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell.

The vehicle was swiftly recovered from G-Section, KwaMashu. The vehicle was then transported to KwaMashu SAPS for further investigation and processing.
