Entries open for 2025 Dusi Canoe Marathon
Early bird entries for the iconic race close on Thursday, December 26.
ORGANISERS of the Dusi Canoe Marathon have announced that entries are opened for next year’s iconic river race which takes place from February 20 to 22.
The Dusi, the 74th event overall, will also return the race to its traditional start at Camps Drift in Pietermaritzburg, however there will have a contingency plan in place for the event as poor water quality could change that.
Heading into the new year, organisers have taken the decision to allow paddlers to enter the race as an individual and then convert that to a K2 entry at a later stage, when they have secured a partner.

“We’re trying to make things as simple and accessible as possible for paddlers,” said KwaZulu-Natal Canoe Club chairman Doug Gow, “Knowing that many K2 partnerships are only finalised in the month leading up to the event. Entries are open for the 2025 event, and we encourage those entering to make sure they take advantage of our early bird entries.”
Early Bird entries close on Thursday, December 26 and after that normal entries will apply.
Entries are available at https://paddler.canoesa.com/ and entries close on February 1.
