World Pizza Day has been celebrated officially since 2000. The origins of modern day pizza date as far back as the 18th century. The most ordinary pizza, called coll’aglio e l’olio, is dressed with oil, salt, origanum and shredded garlic cloves. Over time toppings have gotten more adventurous with some pizzerias offering hot wings as a topping. What’s your flavour?
