By-election date confirmed for Ward 110
Date for the upcoming by-election as well as dates for voter registration weekends have been announced.
FOLLOWING the dismissal of Ward 110 councillor Aamir Abdul, the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) has confirmed the by-elections date for the ward is set for Wednesday, April 16.
The ward includes Sunningdale, Glen Anil, Glen Hills, Mount Moriah, Mount Royal, Southgate and Rainham.

Alongside the dates for the by-elections, two weekends have also been set aside for voter registration.
Registration for the ward by-election takes place on Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23.
Several stations will be open on the registration weekend, including The Rock Church, a tent at Rinaldo Park, Daleview Secondary, Mount Royal Combined School or the Open Air Gym at Mount Moriah between 08:00 and 17:00 to register to vote.
