Support charity through golf day in Mount Edgecombe
There are also tee sponsorships available for interested businesses.
THE Masonic Charity Golf Day is back and this year two non-profit organisations will benefit from the funds raised.
The first one is Kerr House, a home for abused and destitute women, and the second is St Luke’s Home of Healing which takes care of the mentally and physically handicapped.
Ian Pace, a Freemason of 30 years, said these establishments were chosen because of the great work they do for the people they assist, and because they have limited financial resources.

“Kerr House is one of our longstanding beneficiaries but this year we were asked to assist St Luke’s Home of Healing too. The Freemason’s way is to help as many people out there as we can. The need is great and we will always strive to assist those in need in whichever way we can,” said Pace.
“Most of the people at St Luke’s live off a State grant, which we all know is not much, especially as the residents need specialist care,” he added.
Pace is appealing to businesses and individuals to support the fundraising golf day at the Mount Edgecombe Country Club on March 14 at a cost of R750 per player.
“We hope to enrich the lives of those less fortunate through the funds raised from the event,” he said.
