“Our response officers, together with tracking companies and chopper were immediately mobilised to the area. Through close co-ordination and communication between the teams, the stolen vehicle was tracked and recovered,” said Swift Private Security spokesperson Sanveer Sooklall.

It took all involved a total of 30 minutes to recover the Hilux in the KwaMashu Hostel area.

“The recovery was carried out without further incidents, ensuring that the vehicle could be secured quickly,” added Sooklall.

He urged motorists to take precautions when on the roads:

Be cautious when approaching intersections, stop streets, and driveways.
Avoid stopping in poorly lit or isolated areas.
Report any suspicious vehicles or persons immediately.

Ensure your vehicle tracking system is active and functioning at all times.
