Details of the vehicle were circulated to armed response officers, Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team, and the Durban North SAPS Crime Prevention Unit. A short while later, the vehicle was tracked travelling along Blackburn Road and then onto Chris Hani Road.
“The suspects, realising they were being followed, attempted to flee but were intercepted and apprehended by our officers and Durban North SAPS Crime Prevention at a well-known informal settlement on Old North Coast Road,” Marshall Security said.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a signal jammer believed to have been used in the attempted incident.
