Support local at Durban North Christmas market
The night market at the church will feature an array of local vendors and is also a fundraiser for St Margaret’s.
IT has become one of the most magical parts of the festive season and this year organisers of the St Margaret’s Church night market are hoping for more of the same.
Local residents and church wardens, Leanne Fenwick and Stacey Smith, said the showcase offers an array of vendors and is perfect for those doing Christmas shopping.
“We are a small church but we are a family with a big heart and willingness to serve others. Our annual Christmas market shows others this sense of community and we want to share this with our neighbours. This market is also a fundraiser for the church. We have a great selection of vendors and budding entrepreneurs who will showcase their wares. We are looking forward to a fun evening full of Christmas spirit,” explained Fenwick.

For Smith, the market also encompasses community.
“Our annual market is really about the togetherness and sense of community and in that sense it embodies the Christmas spirit, of putting others first, it’s a selfless time. We love interacting with all the people who come out on the evening and we are hoping to go even bigger and better this year, it’s in the thought which you put into thinking about others,” she said.
In addition to food stalls at the event, there will be vendors selling jewellery, clothes, sauces, coffee, cards and a whole lot more.
