Suspects linked to house break-in, theft cases arrested
Law enforcement recovered several items believed to be stolen in the suspects’ vehicle and later, at a property in Clermont.
AN intelligence-driven operation just before the start of the Easter weekend resulted in the arrest of four suspects linked to several house break-in and theft out of motor vehicle cases in the Glen Anil and Sunningdale areas.
Following the arrest, law enforcement recovered several items believed to be stolen, including two firearms.
The suspects were arrested in the Avoca Hills area after members of Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team (SOT) spotted a vehicle (white Hyundai Grand i10) that had been seen at previous crime scenes on Thursday (April 2).

“After analysing crime patterns and hotspots, we identified a spike in theft out of motor vehicle and house break-in incidents in the Sunningdale and Glen Anil areas. Using surveillance infrastructure our members identified a white Hyundai Grand i10 and four suspects believed to be linked to these crimes,” explained Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell.
“While patrolling, the vehicle and suspects were spotted leaving a premises on Lemon Tree Lane. After a short pursuit the vehicle was stopped on the M25. A search of the vehicle, conducted with the assistance of Greenwood Park SAPS, led to the recovery of various suspected stolen items, including a television, soundbar, purses, handbags, and sunglasses, as well as house break-in implements,” he said.
Following up on additional leads, the Greenwood Park Trio Crimes Unit and detectives from the Greenwood Park Police Station as well as the security company were led to the suspects’ resident in Clermont.
“This resulted in the recovery of further stolen property from prior cases, including two firearms and ammunition,” Powell said.
