THE North Durban Lions Club has issued a heartfelt appeal to local businesses, corporates, and the public to assist in maintaining the grounds they proudly call home.

As a long-standing community service organisation, the club’s premises serve as a vital base for planning, storage, and coordination of numerous outreach initiatives that benefit the community.

Grant Hobbs of the North Durban Lions Club, said maintaining a large property comes with significant upkeep costs.

“Maintenance needs currently include regular grass cutting, trimming and cutting back of trees, hedge maintenance, and the removal of garden refuse. In addition, the club is facing the urgent need to repair and replace broken gutters and sections of fencing that have deteriorated over time,” he said.

“All funds raised by the club are directed back into the community through our service projects. This means that the ongoing maintenance of our grounds relies heavily on the generosity of sponsors and the contributions of our members.”
