“When members located the stolen vehicle they found two suspects actively stripping the vehicle in an apparent attempt to locate and remove the tracking device,” explained Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell.
“A search of the suspects led to the recovery of a signal jammer and various car break-in implements, believed to have been used in vehicle theft-related crimes.”
Powell said preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects may be linked to numerous theft of motor vehicle incidents in the uMhlanga, Phoenix, and Verulam areas.
He added investigations are ongoing to connect the suspects to additional cases.
