Our Lady of Fatima gear up for finals of schoolgirls’ challenge
The Durban North school is one of 10 teams battling it out at the Grand Finals of the SPAR KZN Schoolgirls' Hockey Challenge.
OUR Lady of Fatima Dominican Convent School is one of 10 teams (regional champions) getting ready for this weekend’s Grand Finals of the SPAR KZN Schoolgirls’ Hockey Challenge.
The competition takes place at St Mary’s DSG turf on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26.
A total of 34 schools have participated in the concluding tournament that wraps up the 10 regionals.

The first team to punch their ticket to the Grand Finals was the Durban North school.
Our Lady of Fatima are the most consistent team in the history of the competition, having earned fifth place in their five previous excursions in 2011, 2017, 2018, 2022, 2024.
To qualify for the finals, Our Lady of Fatima beat Ashton International College 2-0 in the regional finals in March.
