Botanical society to host KZN Plant Fair
Recognised as Durban's oldest plant fair, the event brings together local nurseries offering indigenous plants at competitive prices.
THE Botanical Society of South Africa (BotSoc), KZN Coastal Branch, will host its Plant Fair at the Durban Botanic Gardens in September.
The fair takes place on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, and entry is free.
Recognised as Durban’s oldest plant fair, the event brings together a selection of local nurseries offering South Africa’s indigenous plants at competitive prices.

This year’s event will be held under the theme ‘Know, grow, protect and enjoy South Africa’s indigenous plants’.
Proceeds from nursery sales support BotSoc’s plant conservation projects in KwaZulu-Natal.
“This fair is for anyone wanting to freshen up their garden this spring while supporting real conservation work. Our nursery partners have been preparing indigenous stock specifically for this sale,” explained Jane Troughton from the Botanical Society of South Africa, KZN Coastal Branch.
