Parkhill autism school to honour moms, women today
Funds raised from the women's event will go towards various programmes run by the school.
ACTION in Autism is inviting women to dress up, take a break and celebrate themselves while supporting mothers and families of autistic people at its
upcoming Women’s Wellness Day
Fundraiser.

The event takes place on Saturday, August 15, from 14:00 to 16:30 at 105 Haig Road, Parkhill, Durban.
This year’s event, themed “Bridgerton Under South African Skies”, aims to bring the glamor of a traditional high tea into a distinctly South African setting,
while creating a safe and inclusive space where women can feel seen, represented and supported.
“The event will raise much-needed funds for Action in Autism’s programmes, including its Early Learning Intervention Centre, which supports children up to six years old, and the Shahumna Centre, its skills development centre for students,” said Diane Mariah-Singh, director for Action in Autism.
For those unable to attend, there are
still meaningful ways to support the
organisation.
Businesses and community members
can donate, educate themselves about autism and, importantly, consider how they can make their spaces more
inclusive.
