EDITOR– In response to Siya Mkhize’s letter in the Northlgen News dated, 31 October. Siya is either having fun with the readers again, or he is seriously bitter. If it’s bitter, then my advice to him is that he must unburden himself with this yoke of a black and white grudge, as it will cloud his judgement and cast a shadow over his life forever. His perception of poor criminals getting bad free legal representation, surely angers the legal experts who work for the State. A white person from an advantaged background who is caught housebreaking probably cant afford private legal counsel, and that is why ‘said person’ is breaking into a house?
Anyway, lets get one fact straight: Siyabonga Mdunge, of Hilton, shot and killed his pregnant wife in the bathroom, when he thought she was an intruder, and he got charged with culpable Homicide; and was given an e month suspended sentence for five years. And guess what? He’s black! And so was the Judge in Oscar’s case! And the victim was white. So that’s just one fact I can give you Siya. But as I say, I think you are just having fun, getting the readers all riled up, with inflammatory letters.
