EDITOR – The article from Yvette Farinha regarding the big bangs being less treacherous this year was so uplifting. I also thought that here in Durban North they were a little better although our animals were still terribly anxious as there were a few heartstopping bangs. However, I did read with sadness how the SPCA was battling to cope with the influx of terrified animals in the Upper Highway, Westville and Hillcrest area. Many of them had still not been collected. Why? Would you let your children run away and not go and look for them? You definitely do not deserve a loving, unconditional and trusting animal in your life.
