Remove the plank from your eye first

Refrain from condemning other religions.

Editor – WHAT is wrong with our country when a young child has been so indoctrinated that he would call a Hindu God a devil?

I can only imagine the shock of the poor mother who had to have her family’s religion attacked.

Unfortunately, even during Diwali, the intolerance towards Hindus celebrating this festival of light is obvious. Nobody complains about fireworks or the poor animals on Guy Fawkes day. Nobody seems to notice that most accidents during the year happen during the Christmas and Easter holidays.

People should rather spend time at home with their families during the Christmas festive season instead of drinking and causing accidents. Nobody loses their lives over Diwali.

Even the Christmas festivities are more of a commercial activity today than a religious holiday.

To all those who feel the inclination to condemn other religions, I suggest you do what Jesus suggests, namely take the plank out of your own eye before removing the speck out of your brother’s eye.
