A long time coming, movie on Madiba’s life
AFTER 16 years of development and filming for more than four months at authentic locations around South Africa, producer, Anant Singh, and the Videovision Entertainment team are thrilled to share the news that the film, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom will be released on the South African cinema circuit in six weeks.

This epic motion picture spans Madiba’s extraordinary life, from his childhood in a rural village through to his inauguration as the first democratically elected President of South Africa.
It is a film for all the people of South Africa, and for the people of the world. It is a film of courage, of tenacity, of working together for a common cause, and of hope.
The film was selected as the official Royal Film Performance this year, the first for a South African film and members of the British Royal Family will attend this glitzy event.
The film also won the Audience Favourite Feature Award at the Aspen FilmFest in the United States earlier this month.
Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom will open at cinemas in South Africa on 28 November.
