POPULAR Durban singer/songwriter/guitarist, Rowan Stuart, will eagerly step onto the stage at Seabrooke’s Theatre, Durban High School on Sunday 17 November at 6pm.
Rowan is no stranger to Durban audiences, and has been steadily forging a path for himself as an esteemed original artist, since the release of his debut solo album in 2008.
He has since toured the country, opening for successful acts such as Watershed, Dan Patlansky, Jeremy Loops, Laurie Levine,
and The Graeme Watkins Project, and has received radio play on stations across South Africa, including ‘Top 10’ chart success on East Coast Radio.
Armed with only an acoustic guitar and a loop pedal, Rowan paints a sonic landscape of Acoustic Alternative music, incorporating elements of folk, pop and world music, into a sound that is both deep and authentic.
An accomplished guitarist, Rowan infuses his sets with fluent guitar improvisation, intermixed with his serene vocals and lovingly-crafted lyrics and melodies.
Entrance is R50 per person, and you can reserve your seat by contacting kingrowan@rowanstuart.com
Refreshments will be on sale before the show at the Horsefly Café, next to the theatre. Ample parking is available. Rowan’s CDs will be on sale at R100 each.
