WIN: Beirfest tickets

THE Durban TOPS at SPAR Bierfest is back. Heritage Month is here, and to celebrate, Suncoast Casino, Hotel & Entertainment has brought Bavarian heritage to their golden shores.

Now in its fifth year, South Africa’s ultimate beer festival will be taking place at Suncoast from 4 to 5 September with guests able to attend day and night sessions on both days. Guests will be hosted inside a gigantic 4 000-seater Bavarian Brauhaus (brewery) decorated in the famous German festival décor direct from Munich, Germany.
A reproduction of the world-famous Munich Oktoberfest – the world’s largest Volkfest (beer festival and travelling fun fair) – the Bierfest will once again serve up its unique celebration of craft beer, recreating the revelry, tradition and the tastes of this epic celebration.

A celebration of Bavarian culture and heritage, guests are encouraged to don lederhosen (traditional German shortsm made of leather) and join in the celebrations with frauleins, dressed in their ‘dirndl’ skirts, serving up golden treasures of craft beer.

Guests will be entertained by local stand-up comedian, actor and ‘Mayor of Munich’, Brendan Murray, along with musical entertainment from a live ‘oompah’ band and SA’s best-loved party band, Me and Mr Brown. Fun and exciting Bierfest activities to look forward to this year include tapping the keg, best dressed and mass-heben (lifting German beer mugs).
