Suzuki adds value to Ertiga range
Following the addition of the Ignis and Swift GLX models, Suzuki has added a range-topping Ertiga GLX model to its local line-up.
The exterior of the vehicle now features chrome finishes on the door handles and on the rear of the vehicle. The rear of the vehicle sees the addition of a rearview camera hidden behind the chrome additions. Matching the now gloss trim pieces found around the vehicle is 15-inch alloy wheels in place of the steel wheel and hubcap wheels found on the GA and GL ranges. While the lower side-intakes in the front now feature fog lamps, the LED tail-lamps received a new curved LED light strip.
On the interior, vehicle occupants will notice the new wood-grain trim found around the cabin. While the driver will enjoy a height-adjustable seat, both the front occupants can utilize the new centre console box which acts as a storage compartment and an armrest. To add to the list of comforts, the Ertiga GLX comes with keyless entry and a start/stop button. The top of the facia sees the addition of a 7.0-inch touch-screen infotainment system which features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while on the lower section of the facia you will find a climate control system with an ambient temperature sensor replace the traditional air conditioning system.
The instrument cluster now features a 4.2-inch colour, a multi-info screen which allows the driver to cycle through information like; average fuel consumption, driving range, power and torque delivery, and fuel consumption and speed for the current driving cycle. For safety, Suzuki has included ABS-brakes with electronic brake force distribution, two front airbags and the ultra-rigid TECT platform. The range-topping Ertiga GLX will feature the same 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine found in the Suzuki Jimny coupled to either a manual or automatic transmission producing 77 kW and 138 N.m of torque. The Ertiga GLX will be available from early September at Suzuki dealers across South Africa.
Warranty
The Suzuki Ertiga comes with a four-year / 60 000 km service plan and will include a five-year / 200 000 km mechanical warranty.
