Gen Alpha inspires Jaguar Land Rover

Exploring political, cultural, technological, and societal trends, Gen Alpha will provide provocative insights that will influence the brand's development beyond 2040.

Generation Alpha are people born between 2010 and 2024. These, the experts indicate, are the first generation to be born and shaped by the 21st century. What does this mean within the motoring industry?

For one – they are pushing boundaries. They employ and develop technology and scientific solutions and family values and finances are but some of their focus points.

And Jaguar Land Rover, through its new advisory council, will employ Gen Alpha’s vision to shape the understanding and definition of modern luxury.

Exploring political, cultural, technological, and societal trends, they will provide provocative insights that will influence the brand’s development beyond 2040.

Working with the Jaguar Land Rover board of directors, the advisory council is made up of a curated group of global futurists and experts from eight different non-automotive fields, including cyborg anthropology, sustainability, blockchain technology, cybersecurity, business investment, health and wellbeing, and the metaverse.

François Dossa, the executive director of strategy and sustainability at Jaguar Land Rover, said, “One of the core principles of Jaguar Land Rover’s vision of modern luxury is to create unique, curated experiences for the most discerning clients. It was a privilege to explore possible futures and how the scenarios could impact our future clients’ lifestyles, aspirations, and needs, with such inspiring international thought leaders. This project will help Jaguar Land Rover to be bold and innovative in shaping how our business caters to future generations.”

Who are these founding members?

Adrienne Herbert (health and well-being), Amber Case (cyborg anthropology and calm technology), Dr Helen Papagiannis (Metaverse, Web 3.0, XR and AR), Dr Hoda Alkhzaimi (cybersecurity), Iggy Bassi (sustainability and climate change), Dr Jonathan Reichental (urbanisation, smart cities and Blockchain), Kaiser Kuo (Chinese growth, culture and development) and Piers Linney (future investment and wealth).

These are the distinguished trailblazers within the Jaguar Land Rover stable and it would be interesting, to say the least, what their vision for the future of motoring holds.
