Nursery school celebrates grandparents

Grandparents’ Day is not widely celebrated around the country, but Opti-Baby nursery school mange to host one every year.

The nursery school pupils and staff celebrated their annual Grandparents’ day on 6 September with the grandparents present.

The occasion saw grandmothers and grandfathers from around the country attending the event to celebrate with their grandchildren.

“Grandparents came from as far as Cape Town and Durban to spend the morning with their precious grandchildren,” said Marita Louw, manager and owner of the nursery school.

Pepsi the clown entertained his audience with a magic show that proved to be enjoyed by the young and the old alike.

As a token of appreciation and gratitude, the children presented their grandparents with a handmade gift.

The morning ended on a high note, with a picnic on the grass for all.
