Sundays in Brixton are for art lovers

Brixton artist Bronwen Findlay invited people into her home when she hosted an art exhibition.

On Sunday morning, a Brixton home swung open its doors to welcome guests from both near and far to a unique viewing.
This wasn’t any ordinary viewing; it was hosted by artist and resident, Bronwen Findlay, who staged a one-of-a-kind art exhibition. An experience that easily tickled the fancy, and awe, of any artists or lovers of art.

Earlier in the year, she travelled to Bloemfontein, where she exhibited new and old pieces at a gallery. Feeling that she needed to bestow the same gesture to her Johannesburg friends and family, she displayed the art she came back with at this event on August 31.

Art enveloped the already art filled home, making each room its own unique experience for guests to lose themselves in. The experience didn’t stop there. She also displayed some of her creations in the alleyway behind her home, so, even if you couldn’t get into the house, you could still enjoy an element of the art outdoors.
