Wembezi gets sporty

The sports tournament was adopted to encourage youth involvement in sports and not indulgence in criminal activities, drugs and alcohol

The police are not only good at stopping crime, as was seen on Saturday, March 7 when Wembezi police organised a sports day. The Wembezi Stadium was packed with eager youth waiting to display their talent on the field. The event started at 9am and ended at 4pm. The event was well received by the community as hundreds attended the event. The sports tournament was adopted to encourage youth involvement in sports and not indulgence in criminal activities, drugs and alcohol. Both young and old took part in a fun run, soccer, volleyball and netball matches.
