Minor setback for Karaoke contest

KARAOKE has become, it appears, quite a popular Saturday night pastime in Vryheid, specifically for patrons who frequent Ella Mera.

This new addition to the list of things to do in Vryheid on a Saturday night has become quite a crowd-pleaser over recent weeks, with locals flocking to showboat their singing talent, whichever end of the scale it may be on, and entertaining each other at this popular pub.

The karaoke competition, which was set to start on August 30, has been postponed due to insufficient entries, but will hopefully kick off on September 20, once people shake off the initial fear of performing, perhaps.
